Scientific & Research Programs Coordinator
Emily Felipe joined the AOTF in May 2023 and now serves as the Scientific & Research Programs Coordinator. Prior to this role, she served across a variety of diverse settings and communities as an Occupational Therapist in the school-based and outpatient pediatric field conducting both in-person and teletherapy services. Through her graduate studies, Emily implemented OT health promotion initiatives in the Baltimore, MD area through the creation of stroke survivor support groups for those impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
As AOTF's Scientific & Research Programs Coordinator, Emily is responsible for assisting with the development, administrative management, and reporting of the organization’s scientific, research, grants, and educational programs and initiatives. In addition, she provides administrative advice and support services to program staff, grant reviewers, and grant applicants/awardees.
Emily obtained her Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Towson University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. As a long-time resident of Montgomery County, MD, Emily enjoys exploring new hiking trails with her family and training her dog for animal-assisted therapy.
