Our 2016 Intervention Research Grant Recipient, Mary Khetani, Sc.D., OTR/L, Associate Professor, Department of Occupational Therapy, College of Applied Health Sciences, University of Illinois at Chicago, mobilized an interdisciplinary and community engaged research team to secure a $1.17M National Science Foundation grant, SCC-IRG Track 2: Smart and Connected Family Engagement for Equitable Early Intervention Service Design, using preliminary research funded by Electronic participation-focused care planning support for families: a pilot study, published here https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31318677/ and https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32259292/. Mary was also a Pi Theta Epsilon (PTE), honor society for occupational therapy, inductee.

KhetaniI want to thank AOTF for investing the funds and time necessary for me to deliver on my AOTF IRG grant, which laid important foundation for our ability to get to this point in our scientific contribution. I am most appreciative and promise to deliver on the project and pay it forward with those I get to mentor.
