Satvika Garg, PhD, OTR/L

Chief Scientific Officer

Dr. Satvika Garg is the Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) at the American Occupational Therapy Foundation (AOTF). Before joining the AOTF, she held positions as an Occupational Therapist/Research Collaborator at Children's National Hospital in Washington, D.C., and as Adjunct Faculty at New York University (NYU), NY. Dr. Garg earned her PhD in Occupational Therapy (OT) from New York University and her MS in OT from Tufts University, MA. 

In her role as CSO, Dr. Garg leads the development, implementation, management, and evaluation of the Foundation's scientific and research programs. She ensures the fiscal and programmatic accountability of these programs and serves on the Foundation's leadership team, advising the CEO. Additionally, Dr. Garg monitors the external environment to identify research priorities and opportunities that can build research capacity and advance the science of occupational therapy.
